They are worried that the booming auto market and new technologies have engendered great difficulty in recruiting qualified personnel. Consequently, experts say there is a need for a competent training system for the transport working staff. This new training system should start with the vocational high school system and should be constantly keeping up with market demands. Experts say that new technologies used by modern means of transport, the transition from the heavy mechanical work to maintenance, diagnosis, service and science activities were not efficiently anticipated. For this reason there are great difficulties in recruiting qualified personnel and employees, particularly those with adequate new technologies know-how. The study includes socio-economical data on the employees, in-depthinterviews, employers’ evaluation, and a proposal for new occupational standards and for a professional training plan associated to each job.
