This year, the Congress will be the stage for the first ever Central Eastern European Logistics and Supply Chain Management Award. The aim of the award is not only to celebrate excellence in logistics, but to encourage professionals to constantly raise standards and innovate in logistics and supply chain management, contributing to the development of CEE as a region. Applications will be assessed by an independent jury and the winners will have the opportunity to present their projects at the congress.
Applications from all members of the industry are welcome in two categories – manufacturers and retail companies in the first one, while service providers (with a customer related project) in the second. Winners will be announced on the 27th of November, during the cocktail reception on the first day of the annual TRANSLOG Connect Congress.
Applications will be evaluated by an independent jury. Jury members include Jos Marinus, President of the European Logistics Association, Stefan Putzlocher, Director Logistics at Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kummer, Head of the Institute of Transport and Logistics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Miguel Suarez, Director Supply Chain Centre of Business Excellence at Swarovski and Rogier van Zon, Head of Global Warehousing and Distribution at TP Vision.
Applications should be submitted by 1 October and will be evaluated by their level of innovation, transferability, sustainability, cost-effectiveness and customer value-contribution.
