Major public works have saved America in early ‘30s and probably this solution would be better than pumping money in the financial sector and encouraging consumption by increasing wages and pensions. But if the allies that pull the power’s strings resort to the last category alternatives and play with subsidies and generous social assistance, transporters should take advantage of the favorable European support in the economy and ask for as many benefits as possible. Now, the chances of achieving something are much higher than last year’s spring, because a Brussels opposition towards a protectionist touch can no longer be pleaded with.
Unfortunately, local transporters will probably have more luck in trying to get money from the European package for economy support, than in doing so with the Romanian state. And that is because, with us, the campaign slogan ”They with them, we with you“ the only valid part is the former one.
