Recognising the most innovative logistics and supply chain management improvements, the Central Eastern European Logistics and Supply Chain Excellence Award 2013 will be a central part of TRANSLOG Connect Congress. Taking place on 27-28 November 2013 in Budapest, Hungary for the third time, this event offers exclusivity, most up-to-date market insights, pre-scheduled business meetings and superb networking opportunities for Central and Eastern European businesses in the Logistics, Transportation and Supply Chain Management sector.
The award was brought to life to recognise and promote outstanding logistics and supply chain management methods and to encourage professionals to constantly raise standards and come up with innovative and flexible solutions, contributing to the development of the rapidly growing CEE region. Manufacturers, retailers and solution providers from all industry sectors are welcome to apply.
Applications will be evaluated by an independent jury. Jury members include Jos Marinus, President of the European Logistics Association, Stefan Putzlocher, Director Logistics at Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kummer, Head of the Institute of Transport and Logistics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Miguel Suarez, Director Supply Chain Centre of Business Excellence at Swarovski and Rogier van Zon, Head of Global Warehousing and Distribution at TP Vision.
Applications should be submitted by 1 October and will be evaluated by their level of innovation, transferability, sustainability, cost-effectiveness and customer value-contribution. Winners of the Award will be announced on the 27th of November during the cocktail reception on the first day of the annual TRANSLOG Connect Congress taking place at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, Hungary. Awarded applicants will have the opportunity to present their projects to the top logistics and supply chain management professionals at CEE’s most important logistics and supply chain management summit.
