Romanian officials in Brussels underlines the importance of implementing specific measures for the protection of coastal and marine areas exposed to the effects of climate change. Adriana Ticau, Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Transport and Tourism of the European Parliament, believes there is a need for sustainable development especially in the field of shipping, shipbuilding, fisheries and aquaculture, wind and wave energy. „It is also necessary to promote research and diversification of renewable energy sources and routes of energy supply in the EU”, she said, for RBT.
