At european level, there are two such programs, first introduced by Lufthansa and Air France/KLM, but to which are currently affiliated all members of the global airline alliances Star Alliance and SkyTeam.
The passengers who enroll in these programs receive a number of „miles” for every trip made with affiliated airlines, and, according to the number gained, benefit from the advantages of the four categories of members of the program.
