Chinese electric car manufacturer Zeekr announced that the Zeekr 007 model will have an LFP battery. The battery charges from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes.
Car manufacturers have managed to bring to the market vehicles that travel more than 500 km on a single charge. Now they promise to substantially reduce the time spent near an outlet.
Zeekr has announced the launch of a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery that can charge from 10% to 80% in just 10 and a half minutes. Of course, that’s if the car with the battery is connected to a V3 ultra-fast charging station, also from Zeekr.
Zeekr 007 will have the fastest charging battery in the world
Company officials noted that, with an improved 800V architecture, „an electric vehicle with the new Zeekr technologies can charge 500 kilometers of range in 15 minutes. Even at low temperatures in winter, the charging performance of Zeekr vehicles with the new batteries will exceed the performance of many competitors.”
„Thanks to the application of newly developed materials and simplified structural design, the volume utilization of the new battery pack reaches 83.7%, exceeding the achievements of many global counterparts.”

The first vehicle to benefit from the new LFP battery will be the Zeekr 007 sedan. Deliveries will start no later than September 2024.
The 007 all-electric sedan is the fourth Zeekr model after 001 in 2021, 009 in 2022 and X in 2023. Equipped with the new LFP battery pack with fast charging, the sedan can travel 688 kilometers. An even longer range version, with Qilin batteries from CATL under the body, will be able to be driven up to 870 on a single full charge.
