The American aircraft manufacturer Boeing delivered last year the largest number of planes since 2018. The company also managed to overtake European rival Airbus in terms of net orders for the first time in seven years.
According to published data, Boeing delivered 600 planes to customers last year. A jump of 72% compared to 2024, being surpassed in this chapter by Airbus, which delivered 793 aircraft. The number of aircraft delivered is a closely monitored performance indicator.

Boeing said it received new orders for 1,175 aircraft last year. It is the sixth highest annual total ever recorded by Boeing and exceeds Airbus’ 889 net orders.
Boeing received more orders last year than Airbus
Boeing has been trying to improve its image and win the race with Airbus for single-aisle orders under CEO Kelly Ortberg. Since 2018, two plane crashes, the COVID-19 pandemic, strikes and the blowing up of a panel have disrupted the production of Boeing planes and increased the company’s debts.
Last year, Boeing deliveries were dominated by 737 family aircraft. The 600 aircraft delivered included
- 447 from 737 family aircraft,
- 440 of the Max model,
- 88 from 787 Dreamliner aircraft,
- 30 from 767 aircraft
- 35 from 777 aircraft,
The American aircraft manufacturer said that last year it delivered the largest number of 787 Dreamliner aircraft since 2019. The demand for 787 aircraft has skyrocketed in recent years. Boeing recorded 368 firm orders for the Dreamliner last year, the second-highest figure after 369 orders received in 2007, the first year it offered the plane.
„Our teams have done an excellent job throughout 2025 to improve the on-time delivery of safe, quality aircraft to our customers to support their growth and modernization plans,” said Stephanie Pope, president and chief executive officer of Boeing’s commercial aircraft division.
