The Romanian brand Dacia, part of the French group Renault, sold 521,387 vehicles globally between January and September 2025, a value up 4.1%.
The Renault Group’s financial report for the first nine months of 2025 shows, among other things, that, in the first nine months of this year, the Dacia brand sold 521,387 vehicles globally, up 4.1% compared to the same period in 2024. In Europe, with 449,634 cars sold (+5.3%), the brand maintained its ninth position in the brand ranking.
According to the French group’s officials, however, Dacia has gained a position, and ranks second in the European ranking of car sales to individual customers.

The third quarter of 2025 marked a significant acceleration for Dacia, with 165,451 vehicles sold (+16.2%), a strong increase compared to the first two quarters of the year. The brand recorded significant growth in most European markets, with outstanding performances in Germany (+23.6%), Spain (+19.3%) and Belgium-Luxembourg (+37.5%).
The success of the Bigster has contributed significantly to this dynamic. Since June, Bigster has become the second best-selling C-segment SUV to retail customers in Europe, with 22,353 registrations between June and September and more than 39,700 units sold since the beginning of the year. Since its launch, more than 55,000 orders have been registered.
Dacia Sandero confirms its success, being the best-selling vehicle in Europe, across all distribution channels, with 66,233 units sold in the third quarter and 218,089 units since the beginning of the year.
Thanks to the hybrid propulsion systems present on the Duster, Bigster and Jogger models, the Dacia brand accelerates the pace of electrification. Hybrid vehicle sales account for 20.9% of sales in the third quarter of 2025 (+9.1 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2024). During the first nine months of this year, sales of Dacia hybrid vehicles increased by 170%.
The increase in Dacia sales in the first nine months of 2025, combined with the 3.8% increase in sales of the Renault brand to 1,169,806 vehicles and the increase of more than 100% in sales of the Alpine brand (7,394 units), led to an increase of 3.8% for the entire French group which reached 1,698,964 vehicles. The commercial success also led to an increase in the turnover of the Renault group. It increased between January and September 2025 by 3.7% compared to the same period of 2024, up to 39.1 billion euros
