Logistics and light industrial spaces developer WDP acquired a new 20,000 sqm unit located in Pitesti metropolitan area. The company expands its local portfolio through a new sale-and-leaseback acquisition of an automotive production unit. The unit has a gross leasable area of approximately 20,000 sqm. It will be leased back to the seller under a long-term, triple net, fully indexed contract. According to this, the tenant has the option of expanding the unit.

The portfolio of the Belgian developer WDP reaches, in Romania, a number of 68 logistics real estate properties). The properties WDP owns globally are totaling approximately 7 million leasable sqm. It is distributed in light industrial and logistics buildings in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany and Romania.
WDP acquired a new 20.000 sqm unit
The new unit included in WDP Romania’s portfolio will be subject to the same energy efficiency measures adopted by the company globally, and will be equipped with the nanoGrid system. Thus, the customer who rents the space will benefit from a real-time energy monitoring tool, which offers the possibility to analyze utility consumption and make well-informed decisions in this regard. In Romania, the large majority of WDP warehouses have obtained EDGE certification, a hallmark of sustainable construction, which requires an average reduction in energy consumption, of water and embedded energy of the materials used by about 30%.
