In its 130th anniversary, Skoda Auto is offering a glimpse into its future estate models with the Vision O concept.

Until the official presentation in Bavaria, the Czech company decided to unveil the Vision O lines, which „reflects Skoda’s 130-year tradition and underlines the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation.”

The Skoda Vision O concept will be presented at the IAA Munich 2025

At first glance, the concept has an elegant and distinctive silhouette, its design being dominated by clear contours, an aerodynamic body, a sloping windshield and a slightly arched roof roof, typical of Skoda station wagon models.

The name of the model, „Vision O”, has to do with the idea of circularity. This holistic approach to component recycling and reuse minimizes the environmental impact in vehicle development and production. In addition, the concept is characterized by the combination of functionality and user experience.

„The Vision O design study will highlight the future trajectory of station wagons under the influence of new technologies, sustainability and Skoda Auto’s extensive experience in this segment. This will be one of the most important steps in the development and evolution of our design language during this period of transition in the automotive industry. It will position us as an important player in the estate segment, in which Skoda Auto has been present since the 1920s. We are delighted to present this concept to the world at the beginning of September 2025, marking a new era for Skoda Auto,” said Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto at the presentation of the first details of the new concept.

According to Czech officials, the Vision O continues the manufacturer’s tradition of station wagons, including models such as the historic L&K 110, known for its variable body options.

In the history of the brand, the most successful model is the Skoda Octavia estate, first launched in 1960. Modern versions of its model have already exceeded the threshold of three million units produced in the four generations developed since 1998.

First launched in 2008 with the second-generation Superb, the Superb estate variant is also very popular. Other Skoda station wagon models with good results on the market were the 1101 Tudor Station Wagon (STW), as well as the Skoda 1200/1201/1202 family.
