This decision affects about 1,600 employees, who are sent on paid leave for a few days. According to the German publication Automobilwoche, production at the Russelsheim plant will even be completely suspended from December 2 to 6, 2024. Subsequently, the activity will be resumed, from December 9, with a single shift. „Probably by the end of January 2025,” an Opel spokesman said.
