Eurowag, a leading provider of integrated road transport solutions in Europe, has received European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) certification. This certification is for motorways and expressways in the Czech Republic. In practice, this means that a single Eurowag on-board unit can be used to pay tolls in the Czech Republic.

Eurowag has received EETS certification
Thanks to the new EETS certification, from 1 March 2023 the Czech Republic joins Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Austria and Poland. In all these countries toll payments can simply be made via Eurowag’s EVA on-board unit. A single on-board unit (OBU) for multiple countries facilitates the operation and management of carrier fleets. Simplifies the work and operation of OBUs for drivers and also increases safety on the road – fewer OBUs, a cleaner windscreen and increased visibility for the driver and all consolidated in a single customer portal.
The EVA solution – more than just worry-free toll payment
“The European Electronic Toll Service enables hauliers and their drivers to travel easily and smoothly across EU countries. The rapid integration of electronic toll payments in the Czech Republic into our solution was therefore a priority for us – after all, the Czech Republic is our home market. Moreover, the number of countries where tolls can be paid via the EVA on-board unit will increase in the future. We are already working on integrating toll payments in Slovakia and post-pay payments for Hungary.,” says Ivana Lang, Toll Product Manager at Eurowag.
