Dacia Sandero managed to maintain the first position in the ranking of car registrations in Europe at the end of the first three months of 2024. Three “made in Romania” models are in the Top 50.
It is a B-class model of the Romanian brand, part of the Renault group. Dacia Sandero occupies the leading position in the ranking of new car registrations in Europe at the end of the first quarter of 2024.
According to the DataForce report, the Dacia Sandero model was bought in March by 25,059 Europeans. The percentage is up 24.6% compared to the same month last year. With this result, the model assembled at the Renault plants in Morocco occupies the third step of the podium of registrations in March. The first in the ranking being the leader Tesla Model Y (26,122 units) and Volkswagen Golf (25,423 units).

Following in the March 2024 Top 10 are, in order:
- Nissan Qashqai (23,679 units),
- Peugeot 208 (22,671 units),
- Renault Clio (22,098 units),
- Citroen C3 (20,764 units),
- Volkswagen T -Roc VW (20,374 units),
- Ford Puma (18,614 units)
- Opel Corsa (18,389 units).
Three models assembled exclusively in Romania also enter the Top 50 for the period January – March 2024. The small Ford Puma crossover, produced at the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova for markets around the world, was registered in Europe in 43,683 units, a volume that places it in 14th place.
The Dacia Duster SUV, also assembled, for now, only in Romania, ranks 16th, with 41,302 units in circulation, and the Dacia Jogger family model achieved a spectacular result, ranking 44th, with 23,876 units . An atypical model for current market trends – a combination of minivan, station wagon and SUV – the Jogger has surpassed models such as the Volvo XC60, Ford Focus, Hyundai Kona, Toyota RAV4 or Opel Astra in the ranking of registrations.
